Matt Beltz is responsible for originating and executing investment banking transactions across the property & casualty, life & health, insurtech, insurance distribution, and healthcare payer sectors.

Over a 20-year career, including 16 years at Allstate, Mr. Beltz has executed $11 billion of M&A transactions across P&C and life insurance carriers, distribution platforms, and insurance-adjacent technology and services businesses. His experience spans buy- and sell-side M&A, carve-outs, minority investments, and complex integrations, with deep expertise in valuation and transaction structuring.

Landmark transactions include the $4.2 billion divestiture of Allstate Life, the $4.0 billion acquisition of National General, the $1.0 billion acquisition of Esurance and Answer Financial, the $600 million divestiture of Lincoln Benefit Life, and the $300 million acquisition of SafeAuto.

In addition to M&A leadership, Mr. Beltz has held senior operating roles, including CFO overseeing businesses with approximately $6 billion in revenue and president of a $500 million revenue commercial insurance business, with responsibility for financial strategy and operating performance.

 Mr. Beltz holds a B.A. in Mathematics, Public Administration, Political Science, and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.  He has been a CFA® charterholder since 2010.
