Jack Donovan is responsible for originating and executing investment banking transactions in the property & casualty, insurtech, and insurance distribution sectors.

Mr. Donovan brings over a decade of experience in insurance investment banking to Sherman & Company, having advised on more than 80 completed transactions across the insurance industry.

Mr. Donovan joined Sherman & Company from MarshBerry, where he was a vice president focused on specialty insurance distribution transactions. For the five years prior to MarshBerry, he was a vice president and partner with Dowling Hales, advising clients on a wide range of transactions across the retail, MGA, and wholesale sectors as well as property & casualty insurance carriers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Donovan was with TigerRisk Capital Markets & Advisory, where he concentrated on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and insurance-linked securities for insurance carriers.

Mr. Donovan received a B.A. with honors from Bowdoin College, where he triple-majored in Economics, Mathematics, and Physics. He maintains securities licenses for Series 7, 24, 63, and 79.
